Patrícia Nicolucci
Professor Doutor
Patrícia Nicolucci received her degree in Physics in 1993 at UNESP, Brazil. After graduation she completed a two-year residency (1994-1995) in Medical Physics at Hospital of Clinicis from University of Sao Paulo at Ribeirao Preto, receiving clinical trainning in Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Therapy. Her master degree (1998) and doctorate degree (2003), both from USP, were related to in vivo dosimetry and Monte Carlo simulation in Radiation Therapy, respectively. Since 2004 she is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at USP-Ribeirao Preto, and has been involved in different research projects and groups as well as teaching activities. She has advised several MSc and DrSc in the fields of dosimetry, Monte Carlo simulation and Physics of Radiation Therapy. She has been working on the use of gold nanoparticles to enhance doses in Radiation Therapy, dose reconstruction and verification using EPIDs and models in radiobiology.
